Voltex Vortex

We aim to be at the centre of your world. Specialising in HV Power, from Design to End-of-Life.

Partners

VOLTEX POWER ENGINEERS specialise in HV Power, from Design to End-of-Life. Together with a selection of partners who share our values and commitment to customers, we provide a wider range of services that complement our core strengths.

Power systems design today requires sophisticated electrical power system software to greatly reduce system modelling time and to allow in-depth analysis and reports. Voltex chose ETAP as their preferred software, due to the modular construction, advanced libraries, and user-friendly operation and integration. The ETAP agency is a logical extension of Voltex’ services to the industry.

For detailed analysis of fast acting transients associated with switching surges, lightning, transformer inrush, and modelling of power electronics and FACTS devices utilised in many of today’s advanced transmission systems, Voltex Power Engineers recommend EMTP-RV, developed by Powersys in conjunction with a number of the world’s leading power authorities, including American Electric Power service corporation (AEP), Centre for Energy Advancement through Technological Innovation (CEATI), Hydro One networks and Hydro-Quebec, CRIEPI (Central Research Institute of Electric Power Industry) from Japan, and Electricite de France (EDF).

Protection relays are at the heart of power system design. Just as vital to the designer and end user as the relay capabilities, is the local support services. Stucke Elektronik SYMAP® relays are sold and serviced by Stucke Elektronik Australia, a sister company of Voltex Power Engineers, and we have a direct pipeline to the manufacturers in Germany for technical support and R&D input. Stucke provides flexibility in product and design not typically found with larger multinationals.

An integral part of after sales service with electrical engineering installations is training – for operators, engineers, project managers, and electrical workers wishing to upskill. Voltex utilise and recommend the capabilities of Power and Plant Training to provide classroom and practical training courses related to our services.

For projects that require installation works, Voltex can provide project supervision for your own crew, or offer a complete package with construction, installation and cabling provided by our preferred partner, Mega Electrics. Through associations on a number of key projects, Mega have developed the specialised skills, experience and resources that HV and Hazardous Area installations demand.
