Voltex service the Pacific Fleet, including three ships with 2 x 15MW Converteam (now GE Power Conversion) Electric Propulsion Systems (Variable Speed Drives and Dual Wound Synchronous AC Motors). The HV and LV Switchboards on each of these ships include 27 x SACE 6.6kV ACB’s, 30 x CEE Protection Relays, as well as 4 Diesel Generators, and various Transformers, DC Link Reactors and Isolator Switches.

The implications of a ship losing power and or drive at sea, means reliability and quick response to emergencies is essential. Our staff provide a wide range of expertise, and are ready to investigate and rectify issues with power supplies, protection systems, circuit breakers, motors, drive systems, transformer and generators.
