Scope

Voltex Power Engineers were awarded a contract by Bechtel to supply a Queensland Accredited Hazardous Area Auditor for Hazardous Area Dossier Verification Support.

Including :

  • Review of Personnel Competency Documents
  • Review / Preparation of Mechanical Equipment Suppliers’ Conformity Assessment Documents
  • Review / Preparation of Contractor Modules’ Conformity Assessment Documents
  • In-Progress Inspections at Equipment Suppliers Facilities or Module Yards
  • In-Progress Inspections of Site Installation Works
  • Technical Support and Assistance

Bechtel International, a global EPCM supplier for Oil & Gas and LNG projects, recognised the need for international suppliers and OEM’s to conform to Australian Standards such as AS/NZS 60079 and AS/NZS 4761, when designing and constructing a plant with electrical equipment in Hazardous Areas in Queensland. Voltex were successful based on the experience of our engineers in Power and Hazardous Areas, QA procedures, and professional reporting systems.

APLNG was listed by CNN Money in 2012 as the world’s 5th most expensive energy project (US $37B).
