Scope

EPCM of new raised 11kV Switchroom with 13 panels

MPA Engineering have a long history in delivering Water and Wastewater projects. However, when challenged to deliver a new 11kV HV Switchroom as part of QUU’s Oxley Creek Sewage Treatment Plant Flood Resilience Project, they engaged Voltex to assist with all the HV works, as an EPCM contractor.

Voltex’ scope was to design, install, commission and provide HV Audit, of a new 11kV Switchboard in a raised switchroom. The next challenge was to schedule a phased changeover of all the incomers and feeders from the existing switchboard, without significant impact on the plant’s operation.

With the assistance of our installation contractor, Mega Electrics, Voltex delivery included civil works for building supports, stairs and landings, earth grid design and installation, HV cable installation and some re-routing, as well as liaison with Energex for an additional supply incomer and RMU.
